Painting | Silkscreen Printing | Mixed Media
From silkscreen printing with ketchup and mayonnaise, to stretching canvas as a corset over an acrylic-painted body, I like to explore and test the limits of what art can do and societal norms. I took my first figure drawing class at 12-years-old at the Brooklyn Museum of Art, and continued through figure drawing classes at Saint Ann’s School, Interlochen Arts Camp, and Pratt Institute. I am particularly fascinated by the history of figure painting, and did a number of essays and painting studies in college on the subject.
